Sensex Climbs Above 79,000
The stock market's benchmark indices posted gains for the third consecutive day. The Sensex and Nifty breached the key psychological levels of 79,000 and 24,500, respectively. During Tuesday's trading session, the Sensex surged by 846.78 points at one stage, recording an intraday high of 79,367.08. Ultimately, the index settled at 79,273.33, registering a gain of 753.03 points. Nifty closed at 24,576.60, registering a gain of 211.75 points.
