NITI Aayog has revealed that while only 12.3 percent of schools in Andhra Pradesh had internet facilities during the 2014-15 academic year, this figure has surged to 99 percent by 2024-25—the highest rate in the entire country. It further noted that the national average for internet connectivity in schools stands at 63.5 percent. Andhra Pradesh also holds a leading position at the national level in other key areas, such as the establishment of smart classrooms and the provision of restroom facilities for students. However, a matter of concern is the fact that, despite these advancements, the student dropout rate in the state remains higher than the national average.
