Need for a National Policy on Private School Teachers' Welfare
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has admitted a petition seeking a directive to the Centre to formulate a comprehensive national policy ensuring the welfare, social security, and post-retirement security of the country's lakhs of private school teachers. On Thursday, the Court issued notices to the Central Government, states, Union Territories, and the National Council for Teacher Education, seeking their responses on the matter. The petition was filed by Lijimol George from Kerala.
