In a statement, he asserted that—especially on Telangana Formation Day—making remarks that incite regional animosity and disparage the class struggles of oppressed communities is inappropriate for someone holding a responsible public office. He further criticized Pawan's attempt to sling mud using falsehoods—specifically the claim that the CPM had opposed the formation of Telangana—as merely a ploy to divert public attention.
