Top ISIS Leader al-Maynuki Killed in Nigeria
Washington: US President Trump announced on Saturday that Abu Bakr al-Maynuki, a top leader of the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS), was killed in Nigeria on Friday. He revealed that al-Maynuki died during a joint operation conducted in collaboration with Nigerian forces. Within ISIS, al-Maynuki held the second-highest position in the leadership hierarchy. In a post on Truth Social, Trump noted that al-Maynuki believed he would be safe hiding in Africa, but failed to realize that US intelligence capabilities extend even to that region.
