Two Indians on ‘Hanta’ Ship Safe
The emergence of cases involving the deadly Hanta virus aboard the MV Hondius—a Dutch cruise ship that had departed from Argentina bound for Spain—has caused a major stir. While three individuals have lost their lives due to this virus, tests have confirmed that six other people on the ship have contracted the infection. The fact that two Indian crew members are among those infected has heightened concerns. The Indian Embassy in Madrid has confirmed that the two Indians currently affected by the Hanta virus on the ship are in good health and are exhibiting no symptoms of the infection.
