Viral Video Shows LeT Commander Discussing Operatives' Deaths
A top commander of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has made a significant admission. He has confessed that over the past three to four years, more than 30 of the organization's terrorists have been killed by "unknown gunmen" in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These killings were primarily carried out in areas such as Rawalakot, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar, and Muzaffarabad.
In a video going viral on social media, top LeT commander Rizwan Hanif has directly blamed Indian intelligence agencies for these killings. However, India TV Digital cannot independently verify the authenticity of this video.
In the viral clip, LeT commander Hanif can be heard saying, "India's intelligence agencies did not let them live in peace even here in Azad Kashmir. They killed them as part of their agenda. This is not the first instance; in fact, more than 30 such incidents have occurred over the last three to four years."
He further stated, "Some were killed in Peshawar, some in Karachi, some in Rawalpindi, some in Rawalakot, and others in Muzaffarabad. What was their crime? Their only fault was that they believed in Allah."
**Pakistan's Allegations and India's Stance**
Although it is unclear where and when the video was filmed, some reports claim the clip was recorded in May of this year while addressing LeT terrorists in PoK. This marks the first time an LeT terrorist has publicly acknowledged the killing of so many of their operatives in recent times. Pakistan has consistently blamed India for these attacks—allegations that New Delhi has always denied.
India has strongly criticized Pakistan for providing safe havens on its soil to terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). In another viral video from June, Talha Saeed—son of Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed—was seen attending a funeral in Islamabad, further substantiating India's claims that Pakistan remains a safe haven for terrorists.
Various international reports, including those from the US Congressional Research Service (CRS), have also criticized Pakistan for failing to take action against terrorist groups operating from its soil. Despite all this, Pakistan has failed to take concrete action against terrorists.
