Vizag Plant Production Capacity Expanded
Hyderabad: Yokohama India, a Japanese tire manufacturing company, has announced that it has increased the production capacity of its plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, by 40 to 70 percent. Gaurav Mahajan, the company's Head of Marketing, revealed that the plant—which previously manufactured 2,000 tires per day—has now ramped up its production to 5,000 tires daily. He stated that this plant, launched in 2023 with an investment of Rs 750 crore, has an annual production capacity of 1.7 million tires.
